Hey guys,
I'm looking for someone who's willing to take responsibility of the
Karmic Koala Team Pack (basically a box of CDs and a few Ubuntu
stickers). Pepeng has recently battered my hometown and made the roads
in and out of Baguio unreliable, which *might* compromise our package.
For convenience sake, I would prefer someone residing in or near GMA
since most of the Jaunty CDs request I previously got are in that area.
Just a friendly warning though, there are instances where you'll need to
?cover postal charges to our fellow members requesting a copy. Don't
worry, it's minimal (around PhP100 for a smaller box - also included in
the package - containing a hundred or so CDs to the Mindanao Open Source
Society, and that's the rate if shipped from Baguio),
Thanks everyone!

Hi,
O.T
Shipit has now a limit of allowed shipments or was this implemented before?
ISTR that shipit has a limit of at least one CD request per LP account
per release. ?Special requests can be made for things like conference
presentations and the like, though I also recall that these requests
should be coursed through the LoCo contact (because he/she will make
the actual shipit request on behalf of the interested party.)

Thanks for the reply. The weird thing about my shipit account is that when I
clicked ?to pre-order karmic kaola cd I got this message ?"You have already
received our maximum number of allowed shipments. Please download the CD
image and record it yourself. " ahahaha... It's my first time to even
pre-order the karmic koala cd so it seems shipit has now a limit or maybe
its just me. anyway thanks

Hi Everyone,

Good day. I would like to ask if any of the ubuntu phil. member can give us
(Asian College of Science and Technology) a seminar on the basics to
(almost) advance use of linux in education. We would like it to be held on
November 5 this year. We are willing to pay for your professional fee just
inform us in advance. I hope you can help me to encourage our institution to
migrate in free/open source technology.

Thanks

Anyone in qc got a copy? My laptop died this morning. Looks like I
should upgrade to koala, as well. Any feedback on the acer timeline
series? Looking for a light 13 incher.

The idea of downloading it via my 3g connection is not at all enticing.

Nice one. A couple of suggestions: I think you need to lower the red and raise the blue color at the top. Red symbolizes bravery in times of war, if I remember correctly.

Hi,

I agree with Allan ^_^ To add, I like to suggest matching the
colors to the current "shade" being used. You can refer here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Philippines (scroll a little
bit down), which is pretty much accurate (at the moment :p )

Regarding the "sun rays".. we will soon have 9 rays (last I heard
about this, it is already waiting to be signed by the President.
Whether she signs it or not, after 30(?) days, it will automatically
become a law - unless she officially rejects it. No official layout of
the rays have been presented yet, but if you can provide one, that will
generate some attention in the Filipino community. :p (Just saying)

Great work :D I like the shadow effects.

Best Regards,

Nice one. A couple of suggestions: I think you need to lower the red and
raise the blue color at the top. Red symbolizes bravery in times of war, if
I remember correctly.
Unfortunately, the Ubuntu logo has certain restrictions with regards to

Hey guys,
I'm looking for someone who's willing to take responsibility of the
Karmic Koala Team Pack (basically a box of CDs and a few Ubuntu
