Hi Guys,

Please help me on how to have a software on how to video chat in ubuntu...my camera is microsoft vx3000 and mic is logitech.? I am in Canada and is so expensive to buy XP Pro...When I was in the Philippines I used ubuntu 8.10 and I still have my live CD with me.? I wanted to install ubuntu 8.10 and was worried I cannot communicate in the Philippines anymore with video chat.

Hello James,

Try Skype on Ubuntu first. There's a native version. Another easy fix
would be mebeam.com :)

Sir,

You may try using Gyachi (http://gyachi.sourceforge.net/) which supports
audio and video chat thru yahoo protocol. I don't know exactly how reliable
is the quality of connection with webcam enabled. Just give it a try and
tell me how it works out.
